Paid opportunities

  • This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced fundraiser with an interest in the arts to join our team. Help shape this position to fit EPAC’s vision and make it your own in the process.

    The inaugural Director of Development will work closely with the Executive Director to spearhead fundraising initiatives; prospect, maintain and cultivate donors; and oversee grant-writing efforts. They will design, coordinate and implement membership drives, donor appeals, fundraising events, and other fundraising campaigns as needed. They will also be responsible for data tracking and analyzation, report generation and gift processing, in addition to overseeing potential support staff.

    The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree, MBA or commensurate professional experience; possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; and comfortably multi-task while meeting hard deadlines.

    Proven ability to successfully and diplomatically work with a diverse group of supporters required. Excellent time-management, organizational and analytical skills required. Documented experience with event management and grant writing required. Network of potential individual and corporate donors a plus but not required.

Internships

  • This is a unique opportunity for an emerging archivist/ art historian with a passion for collection care and management to play a leading role in the preservation and interpretation of The Ed Paschke Art Center’s diverse archival collection.

    As the inaugural Special Collections Fellow, interns will gain experience working with and handling historic artifacts; gain knowledge of current museum best practices; and work to provide research access to one-of-a-kind, original objects and ephemera owned by Ed Paschke.

    Reporting directly to EPAC’s Director, the Special Collections Fellow will research the archives and assist with their documentation, cataloging, storage, care, conservation, and inventory.

    The ideal candidate will be working towards their Masters degree; possess excellent writing and editing skills; and strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and PowerPoint). They will be consistent, methodical, organized and exhibit good time-management skills. They will have the ability to work independently, in addition to displaying strong interpersonal and communication skills when interfacing with the director. The ability to execute repetitive and detail-oriented work a must. Collections database experience a plus but not required.

  • This is a unique opportunity for an emerging museum professional with a passion for public outreach and community engagement to play a leading role in our visitor’s experience and understanding of EPAC’s diverse art exhibitions.

    As the inaugural Visitor Engagement Fellow, interns will gain experience welcoming the public to EPAC’s brand new, state of the art facility; interpret and facilitate engagement with the work Ed Paschke and that of local Chicago artists; and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining a commitment to superior customer service.

    Reporting directly to EPAC’s Director, the Visitor Engagement Fellow will serve as an ambassador of the art center. They will conduct educational group tours for permanent and rotating gallery exhibits, and provide front-line visitor service.

    The ideal candidate will be working towards their Masters degree; possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; and be out-going, positive, enthusiastic and creative. Proven ability to successfully and diplomatically work with diverse audiences required. Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently, in addition to a flexible schedule (which may include evenings and weekends) required. Previous public speaking experience a plus but not required.
